It was our 20th wedding anniversary the other day and my husband and I decided we wanted to take the girls and go into Boston over night. I know, why on earth are we taking the kids with us on our 20th! But we do so much running around and working and shuffling them to activites we don’t have enough family time. It was such a great weekend! We stayed at the Westin which was really nice. The room was very spacious. Much bigger than the hotel rooms in NY! We had a fantastic dinner at the Capital Grille. Our waiter was very attentive. The food was amazing! They had little heart confetti on our table along with a Happy Anniversary Card! They gave us each a glass of champagne and a desert to share. They even took a picture of us to take home. We all had such a great time. Then we got to go shopping!!! Always fun!!! The girls went back to the room for more dessert and a movie and we headed for the bar to have a night cap. My husband and I got up the next morning, got our Starbucks, walked around at bit, then got the girls up for breakfast. I even got to sneak in a fascial! Then off to shop again!!! I’d like to do it again this weekend! If you are looking to buy property in Southern, NH, check out Windham! We have a beautiful town that is growing leaps and bounds! We have a beautiful, state of the art, high school. It’s my daughters second year at the high school and it is amazing to me all it has to offer including a Mac for each student! They have a great staff of teachers! My daughter’s Biology teacher, Bethany Bernasconi, won New Hampshire Teacher of the Year. You can go on to this link and check out pictures of all the wonderful places in town. http://www.windhamnewhampshire.com/updated/inpictures.htm Griffin Park has so much to offer. There are basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball field, soccer fields, playground, skate park, and a concession building with bathrooms. When I first came to Windham in 1999 from Massachusetts, the requirements for the town we moved to was: I had to be able to get to a convenient store, gas station, and pizza parlor, within 10-15 minutes; I couldn’t be more than 30 minutes from a mall and grocery store; and I didn’t want to be to far from my parents (they were my baby sitters at the time). Windham fit the bill! Since then not only do I have the above-mentioned places nearby, we have many hair salons, nail salons, our very own grocery store, CVS, Coffee shop (The Village Bean), several pizza shops, butcher, post office, orthodontists, dentists, Restaurants, Bake shop, Doctors, Vets, Function halls (Castleton & Searles Castle), banks, etc… I am sure I left some places out, so please forgive me. We have Canobie Lake and Cobbetts Pond. The views are spectacular. Then there’s Canobie Lake Park for fun in the Summer and Scarey nights during Halloween! We also are right next door to Salem with all their restaurants, bakeries and shopping plaza’s and the Rockingham Mall. Honestly, living in Windham gives you the country feel with all the conveniences you need! You are within 30 minutes of the mountains, lakes and ocean. I can’t imagine bringing my children up anywhere else! My baby girl is turning 16. I can hardly believe it. Not so long ago I was holding her in my arms and thinking I am so lucky! She had the sweetest round face. I would kiss her and say “I love this moon face”. You are mommy’s little baby cakes and daddy’s little sweetheart! She’s a bit of a train wreck, unorganized, works at a snails pace, but she is very sweet, kind and smart. She sometimes drives me a little nutty since I am very organized and like things in their place, but these are all the things that make her, her and I wouldn’t want her any other way. I still like to cuddle with her and I like that she lets me. She is one of the best things I have done in my life. It wasn’t easy…it took me three years to finally get pregnant, and then at the very last moment I had to have a c-section, then I had a window where I could feel them operating so they had to kick my husband out and put me under, she was stuck in the birth canal and not breathing, there was a bit of a panic, my poor husband was freaking out a bit as he saw the staff running to the operating room and they were yelling some kind of code. I woke up to my husband telling me that everything was fine and I had a beautiful baby girl, a little bit of a cone head at first since she was stuck, but her head rounded out nicely. It was all so worth it! Happy Birthday Baby! I Love You, Mommy xoxoxoxox
I love my clients! I have worked with some of the nicest people this year and last. I just want to thank my clients for being Buyers and Sellers with positive attitudes, for acutally taking my advise and being so easy to work with. You know who you are and I think your great! I have received the nicest thank you cards and Truly heart warming testimonials from them. I promise you all they will soon be on my web page. It has been my pleasure working with each of you! Thank you for choosing me to be your Realtor! The best vacation EVER!!!!! The Allure Of The Seas is so beautiful. This ship is a floating resort. The staff is FANTASTIC! They are friendly, accomodating, informative, on top of everything. They are the BEST! The food was FABULOUS! My kids want to go back next year. They have Central Park with shops and restaurants and the neatest little Wine bar. Starbucks, which made me extremely happy. I loved my Starbucks girl!!! Kareoke which was very entertaining. We had fun at the club with some very funny entertainment. The comedy show was great (leave the kids out of this show). We went to the Aqua Theater, the live earth show and the Abba show. The list goes on. We loved Labadee. they brought the food from the ship and put out wonderful spread of food. The kids did the zip line across the ocean. They had plenty to do there. I personally was quite comfortable lying by the ocean. It was breathe taking! Mexico was awesome. We Snuba dived (a combinatin of snorkling and scuba diving). My kids thought that was the best thing ever! I loved it too, but had a bit of a problem keeping my mouth on the mouth piece and not letting water in…dam TMJ! We also had fun going in all the jewelry stores…we picked up a couple of trinkets Jamacia…..not my favorite. The water was beautiful but we decided to do the Dunns River Falls…we were so excited. It was very disappointing (sorry to all of you who loved it). They crowd way too may people on it at once. We had people climbing on top of us, one guy tried pushing my little girl out of the way to get over to where we were. I had to put him in his place. She was nervous enough without him practially pushing her off the rocks into the water…really Mr.! Back on the ship we were happy once again! My husband and I have never taken a vacation where the cell phones were off the whole time and we didn’t check email! Just never happens. I highly recommend a Royal Caribbean Cruise and see for yourself!
Just Sold! This was a great deal in Windham. Looking for a home in southern New Hampshire? I would love to help you find something that fits your needs, wants and wallet! |
